The estate of the late Hayden Panettiere is under serious scrutiny less than two months after her death, with her former partner and the father of her daughter, boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko, filing court documents claiming that someone close to the actress sold her jewelry to a pawn shop, and that the pawn shop is refusing to cooperate without law enforcement involvement.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ and filed on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Wladimir Klitschko stated that he believes a non-family member previously connected to Hayden pawned off some of her belongings, which he suspects to be jewelry.
His concern is not only that the items were taken, but that without police intervention, they could be sold off to buyers who have no knowledge of their origins, making recovery impossible.
The pawn shop has declined to disclose any specific information about the items in its possession, stating it would only cooperate if contacted by law enforcement.
Wladimir Klitschko submitted the filing as part of his ongoing effort to be named legal guardian of Kaya, his and Hayden’s daughter.
He argued that gaining guardianship is essential to protecting Kaya’s inheritance, and that the recovery of Hayden’s property is a direct part of that process.
He is specifically asking the court to include in his guardianship appointment the formal power to request and authorize a police investigation into the recovery of what he believes are misappropriated assets from Hayden’s estate.
