Gypsy Rose Blanchard is grieving the sudden and tragic death of her partner and the father of her daughter, Ken Urker, who was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, the day that would have been his 34th birthday.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that officers responded to the residence at approximately 6:15 PM after receiving a call, and that Kenan Urker was found dead upon arrival.
Investigations are currently ongoing, however, reports available suggest that Gypsy Rose Blanchard had texted him a birthday message earlier that day and received no response, and was later discovered by her brother Dylan inside the home.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard subsequently revealed to People magazine that she believes Urker died from an overdose, though she stopped short of confirming whether it was intentional.
“I don’t know if it was intentional or not. He was not in a good state of mind lately. I’m in disbelief. I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns,” she said.
She is also holding social media responsible for contributing to Ken Urker’s deteriorating mental state in the months before his death.
“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit. The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure. It had a profound impact on him,” she said.
In a joint statement released to TMZ, Gypsy Rose Blanchard called Ken Urker her forever soulmate.
“Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase. I will make sure she grows up knowing how deeply her father loved her, and who he was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him,” she wrote, referencing their 21-month-old daughter Aurora Raina Urker.
